Wedding Updos

Your wedding day is supposed to be the most important, and happiest day of your life, right? So don’t stress out about what to do with your hair. The main thing you should absolutely do though, is to let whoever it is that is doing your hair, know that you want to incorporate some of the little things that you normally do with your hair into your wedding updo hairstyle.

This lets your wedding hair style be as unique and beautiful as your everyday style. And it also really lets your personality shine through and in turn that makes you look even more stunning on your big day.

So you can still have that elegant French twist you’ve dreamed of, but switch it up a little. For instance, if you normally have bangs parted on the side of your everyday hair, incorporate that into your French twist by parting your hair to one side and leaving your bangs out of your French twist. This will really make it a more personalized style for you.

Another thing to keep in mind when choosing wedding hair updo is the decision of having a veil or not, and how it will be positioned in your hair if you do decide to have one.

Be sure to make an appointment with your hair stylist, or whoever is going to be doing your hair, at least two months in advanced. This may seem like quite a bit of time in advance but it is really worth it because you will have the time to talk with them and let them know exactly what you want, or experiment and find a style that fits you.

Also when you go to your appointment, bring your veil and/or headpiece if you have one so that the stylist can decide how would be the best way to incorporate the piece with your updo hairstyle. Bring your earrings as well, along with a picture of your wedding gown so that the stylist can see exactly what they are working with, and can create the best style with what you have.

If you don’t have a wedding gown yet, but have an idea of what it will look like, try to find pictures in magazines so that you can show your stylist that so they have some kind of idea as to what you will be wearing.

If you have short hair and are worried about wedding updo hairstyles for short hair, fear not. Short hair is a stylists’ dream to work with, because there isn’t a lot there to have to deal with.

I suggest not having a veil that covers your face. It would just look better to have it either trailing behind or don’t have a veil at all. Maybe a tiara, an elegant ornament or some pretty hair pins instead.

But if you are set in your decision to have a veil (preferably a short one), make sure you let your stylist know so that they can find a way to make it look amazing with your style.

Again, don’t forget to incorporate simple things that you already do with your hair into your wedding updo so that it keeps with your personality and gives the updo your own style.

If you want to have fresh flowers in your wedding updo hair style then make sure to talk to your stylist about it so you can all work the details out with your florist.
